The Mouth of Truth has left the building...

Welcome to Shreds of Truth.  You, yes, you  have the pleasure of reading my very first post on this blog.  Awesome feeling, isn’t it?  Awesome in the sense of “filled with awe,” right?  …Perhaps not.  Pity.

Here at Shreds of Truth, I will be publishing simple stories, valuable vignettes, entertaining essays, and amazingly alliterative articles from time to time.  Best of all, each post will contain no more than a certain minimal amount of truth… and I will pass the savings on to you!

Yes!  That means each post here, on this mind-boggling collection of illusory insights, will be completely 100% free!  You pay nothing up front, no monthly fees, no hidden costs, and no sales tax!

But seriously… Why?!

 I wanted to have a blog, mainly to stretch my fledgling writer’s wings.  I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to blog about.  Obviously, the next step was to choose a topic.

Hmm.

Well, there’s technology, but then, there are a lot of tech blogs out there.  There’s teaching, but I’m not sure an all-education blog would really keep my attention going (and would probably degenerate into a rantfest).  There is my regular life, but that is frequently so boring that I’m not sure it would provide adequate content for a blog.

So… why not all three, and then some?  But make it more interesting – spice it up – who cares if it’s all true?

Aha!  Sounds like a plan.  Generally, if I’m writing about technology- or news-related stuff, I’ll source the true stuff by linking to other websites.  That way, you’ll be able to verify any exciting new information which you might be inclined to mistrust otherwise.  Other than that, caveat lector, non compos mentis, and all that, you know.
